I plan to wash underneath, degrease, clean off any flaking old underseal, clean off the rusted parts and use the rust convertor/primer on them. Then I'll spray on the underseal. I thought that IPA wipes would do the trick, but that took of the paint. Don't quite get it. How it could be used as a wipe down prior to a new coat of wax.

Web29 mei 2014 · Yes, heat gun and scraper is the way, though if it's been worked into bad welds that haven't been planished or tidied up, you'll have to get the wire brush on it. Don't heat it too much, just so it gets soft enough to scrape off - if it starts bubbling, back off a bit. I can then sand the rest off or use the MBX tool again.
