NHS England has established 42 integrated care systems – partnerships between the NHS, local authorities, voluntary organisations and others – to improve the lives of people in their area, including those affected by dementia. WebThe 42 integrated care systems (ICSs), created under the Health and Care Act (2024), each have an integrated care board (ICB), an NHS body responsible for developing a plan for meeting the health needs of the population, managing the NHS budget and arranging for the provision of health services in the ICS area.
